[Geeky Info] A reliable source tells us that Apple has been “having trouble playing catch up with the learning curve for designing using the Intel platform” and that in order to have an Intel-based PowerBook out by next year they’ve been scrambling to recruit an engineering team with some experience building light and thin Intel-based laptops. And how are they going to do that?

Apple recall some PowerBook, iBook batteries

[Not Too Geeky] Apple and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall on some PowerBook G4 and iBook G4 laptop computers. Approximately 128,000 units in the US are affected by the problem of the batteries possibly overheating and pose a fire hazard. Apple received two reports in the US of the batteries overheating, six reports worldwide.
