[Krunker] As a fully-fledged Tablet PC, the Averatec C3500 proves, to some degree, that you get what you pay for. The poor battery life and sluggish performance attest to that. However, as a budget priced laptop that can be used occasionally in slate mode, users may well forgive its flaws.

64-bit Tablet PC Soon?: According to an article at Silicon Strategies, Averatec will make their new C3500 Tablet PC available with a 64-bit Athlon mobile processor (I assume they mean the recently announced Athlon 64 3400+) in October.  However, this chip costs more than 4 times as much as the AMD chip that they are currently using in the C3500 ($97 vs. $432 in units of 1000).  This would probably bring the price of the Averatec Tablet back up to that of most Tablet models.
