Toshiba Satellite R15-S822

Geeky Info[Geeky Info] The Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 ($1,549 direct) is not your typical tablet PC. Convertible tablets usually have 12-inch screens and small, lightweight frames.

Good deal on notebooks and a Tablet PC

[jkOnTheRun] This is the same Tablet PC Eric Rice discussed on the Tablet PC Show. This R15 model has the following features:

Tablet after a few weeks

Fred's Blogspace[Fred's Blogspace] I've done well with using ink in OneNote for meetings, but the general navigation of the OS has been somewhat lacking. I've begun using the TIP and that is helping greatly.

Work - Chair and Table in Break Room

[PigPog Blog] My first attempt at oil painting in Ink Art (ArtRage) on my Toshiba M200 Tablet PC. Came out ok, except the perspective is a bit out - should have pencilled it in first, but it only took about ten minutes.

Tatung TTAB-A12D

[Krunker] Tatung has announced a new Tablet PC called the TTAB-A12D. The Tablet PC uses the newest Intel Sonoma mobile platform for increased performance over other tablet systems. This appears to be a purely slate design as opposed to the more common convertible designs.

The Tablet has Arrived

PigPog Bloghttp://pigpog.com/blog [PigPog Blog] My Toshiba Portege M200 has arrived. A bit of a worrying night, as it didn’t appear to have been dispatched at all, but early this morning the dispatch note arrived in my eMail, and the tablet itself arrived at the door a few hours later.

The Stages of Tablet PC Ownership

PigPog Bloghttp://pigpog.com/blog [PigPog Blog] I think I’ve passed through at least parts of all of these stages by now. If you have a tablet, or you’re considering one, you’ll probably recognise at least a few. I’m surprised he made it all the way through without mentioning Robert Scoble, though - I could never show such restraint

Tablet Update - After 4 Days

PigPog Bloghttp://pigpog.com/blog [PigPog Blog] Fine if you’ve got something to prop it up on, but a bit much to hand-hold for too long. The tablet features, though, are available all the time, not just when the machine has been ‘converted’ to tablet-mode. I find myself using it it’s laptop form most of the time, but quite often using the pen to scribble notes or mind maps on the screen. I’m writing this now in OneNote, and have a mind map at the top of the screen.

Apple To Release Tablet PC?

[Sexy Jihad] Apple Computer was granted a patent for an enigmatically titled “Electronic device” Tuesday, May 10th, 2005. Illustrations for the device clearly indicate it to be a tablet-style Macintosh, and patent filings specifically compare it to the “HP Compaq Tablet PC” and several other tablet machines.

PigPog Blog - Tablet PC - After Two Weeks (from: PubSub: TabletPC)

[Scoble’s Link Blog] A free download from Microsoft, the Experience Pack adds a few useful extras to the tablet experience. InkArt is a rebadged version of ArtRage, and is one of the best reasons for buying a tablet PC. The snipping tool is useful too, the crossword is kind of fun if you’re bored. The ink desktop is a nice little extra - makes it possible to scribble with ink directly on the background of your desktop.

New Tablet PC by Motion

[andrew.litrod.com] When I think about purchasing a Tablet PC though I don’t know if I want a slate or a hybrid. The slate would accomplish most of what I’d use the system for (ofcourse I would REALLY like a built in dvd, but C’est la Vie) but I also would like to be able to use it to type occasionally while I am away from my desk but able to sit down for a few minutes (like in front of the tv on the couch). I don’t know if that really is a deal breaker yet though.

Averatec C3500 Tablet PC

[Krunker] As a fully-fledged Tablet PC, the Averatec C3500 proves, to some degree, that you get what you pay for. The poor battery life and sluggish performance attest to that. However, as a budget priced laptop that can be used occasionally in slate mode, users may well forgive its flaws.

Why I Ditched My Tablet PC

[Working Smart] Several people have posted comments, asking why I ditched my Tablet PC a couple of months ago. They were particularly interested since last June I purchased a tablet and enthusiastically endorsed it. In addition to the comments, several people emailed me about my experience. So, I have decided to address the issue publicly and put it to rest. First, I am never fully satisfied with my current tools, whatever they are. I have a high need for variety and thrive on change. Initially, I tend to be enthusiastic and hopeful. Then the gadget loses its fascination and I resume my quest for “the holy technology grail.” So, you have to keep this in mind when you read my blog. Consider yourself warned. Second, the tablet technology was more conspicuous that I had hoped. I am basically an introvert. (I know, that is hard for some people to believe. However, I have the psych tests to prove it!) I don't like a lot of attention. Every time I pulled out my tablet in a meeting, the new people in the...
