Tiger preloads?
[Spontaneous Monotony] The (UK) Apple online store now has ”Ships with Tiger added to its laptops- after the same was given for the Power Mac desktops last week or so...
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Ysearchblog.com] Yahoo! Search blog: In looking at searches on the word "tiger," we had to keep in mind that while some of the interest was Apple-related, the bulk of those looking for tigers were probably looking for the striped variety. In any event, queries on "tiger" were up 19% for the week, a nice boost either way. Pressing on, I delved deeper into tiger-related terms to come up with these top OS X related searches from the last week:

[Laptops.engadget.com] Laptops - laptops.engadget.com.: This time, though, apparently the speculation is based on some actual fact — that executives from Apple and Intel have actually met to discuss the possibility of Apple using Intel chips in their product lines. Of course, there are no details on whether this might mean a complete shift away from IBM’s chips, some sort of gradual phasing-in and dual usage or perhaps adoption for use in some new, as yet unseen product line (like, say, an Apple tablet — please?). Also not surprising — no one at either company will confirm or deny the rumours. It could also be just another spin ‘round the rumour mill once again, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground, all the same.
[Laptops.engadget.com] New Targus ChillHub chills Apple Laptops - Laptops - laptops ...: Targus attempts to solve multiple Apple laptop issues with its new ChillHub released today, which includes two fans to keep the machine cool as well as a four-port USB 2.0 hub for all those extra devices you have (you do have thousands of USB devices, right?). It can run on its own AC adapter or be powered by the computer, so it’s travel-friendly (in the sense that you only have to lug around one extra large object, not to), and at $50, the price ain’t too bad either. On the other hand, Chillhub is a little overkill unless you’re a computer hypochondriac and think your laptop is going to melt without fans blowing at it every which way.
[Laptops.engadget.com] Apple confirms Mac OS X Tiger for April 29th - Laptops - laptops ...: Ok, so maybe it’s a few weeks after everyone thought/hoped/prayed it would happen, but Apple confirmed today that they’d be launching Mac OS 10.4 (aka Mac OS X Tiger) on April 29th. The feature set isn’t exactly a secret, but among other things they’re going to be introducing a new desktop search technology called Spotlight; a new feature called Dashboard, which lets you run mini-apps called widgets on your desktop (ask Konfabulator how they feel about this one), and expanded support for RSS.
